The F-4 Phantom II is an American two-seat combat aircraft that served with the US Air Force and the US Navy and in many further countries. The versions given in the name, that is the F-4B, F-4C, F-4D and F-4N, differ from one another in equipment and use, but the rear end with its pair of exhaust nozzles stays characteristic of the whole family and is clearly visible on a model.
The set replaces the exhaust nozzles at the rear of a model. It is exactly this place that shows on a finished model at first glance: you can see into the depth of a nozzle, so its shape and the thickness of its edge stand out. The set is intended for models of the versions given in 1:72 scale; which particular kit the parts fit is given in the manufacturer's instructions, so go through them before you cut anything off the model.
The material of the parts is not stated here, so match the glue to it: whatever is not polystyrene holds with cyanoacrylate glue, while polystyrene parts are joined by ordinary modeling cement. Cut the excess material and the traces of production off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder down. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. Nozzles are painted differently from the rest of the machine, so it pays to spray the metallic and heat-stained tones separately before they are glued into the model.
The set suits modelers who are bothered by a simplified rear end on a kit and want to replace it with a part with thinner edges and a worked-out interior.
