Replacement exhaust nozzles for Phantom II models in the F-4B, C, D and N versions in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The McDonnell F-4 Phantom II was an American two-seat, twin-engine fighter that served with the US Navy, the US Marine Corps and the US Air Force and became one of the most widespread combat machines of its day. The F-4B, C, D and N versions belong to the earlier forms and have tails of related shape, which lets one set of nozzles cover them all at once.
The set replaces the exhaust nozzles of both engines. In 1:72 scale the nozzles from a kit are as a rule thick and shallow, because a thin wall cannot be made in a mold; the replacement part therefore gives the tail back its depth and a fine rim. The difference shows mainly from the side and from behind, the view a model is most often photographed from. Which kit the set is made for and what reworking it calls for are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The parts are not polystyrene, so ordinary cement for plastic has no effect on them; make the joints with super glue. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little short of the part and sand off the rest so as not to spoil the shape. Wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent before painting and degrease them, otherwise the paint will not hold on the smooth surface. The particular preparation procedure is given in the manufacturer's instructions. Paint the inside of the nozzle before fitting, as you will not get into it later. In the small scale keep the metallic shades muted; metal that is too shiny makes the tail look larger and breaks the scale of the model.
The model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
