The sets of this range aim at the cockpit, that is at the place where the instrument panel and the side panels from the kit come as raised relief only, with no color. The colored elements give the cockpit its legibility without your having to fill in tiny areas with a brush. Go by the instructions enclosed with the set for the exact list of elements in the package.
The F-4D is one of the forms of the two-seat F-4 Phantom II fighter aircraft. The crew sits one behind the other, so the cockpit holds two stations, each with its own set of instruments. The cockpit is thereby more conspicuous on a model than on single-seat machines, and under an open canopy it is clearly visible, so a well-worked interior pays off.
The method of application differs between the individual ranges, so check it in the manufacturer's instructions in advance. The base has to be dry, smooth and degreased, otherwise the element will not seat into the corners and will lift at the transition. The elements are seated before the fuselage is assembled, while the cockpit is still visible and comfortably within reach. Work with fine-tipped tweezers and apply the pressure from the center toward the edges. Once seated, leave the elements undisturbed to dry and do not touch them needlessly.
