About product

Eduard 1:72 F2A photo-etched parts set

A photo-etched set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for the superdetailing of a model of the American Brewster F2A Buffalo fighter in 1:72 scale. It is not an aircraft kit but an accessory that replaces coarser plastic features with thin metal parts and raises the fidelity of the finished model.

What the set offers

  • Fine etched parts that a small plastic mold cannot capture.
  • Sharper detail in the cockpit, on the instruments and on small airframe features.
  • Metal details with realistic thickness and crisp edges.

Usage tips

The parts are cut from the fret, bent along the scored lines and bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate), spot by spot where needed. Pre-painted features, where the set includes them, are applied as they come; the rest are painted once glued on.

Who the set is for

  • More advanced modelers who want to raise the detail of a model.
  • Collectors of American fighter subjects of the Second World War.
  • Builders for whom the purely plastic version from the box is not enough.

The accessory is supplied unpainted, unless stated otherwise. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
