F4U wheels 1:72 are a resin detail set of wheels with weighted flattening for F4U Corsair fighter models, with added photo-etch and a mask.

A resin detail set of landing gear wheels in 1:72 scale from Eduard, from the Brassin range. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory that replaces the plastic wheels from the box with more accurate castings with a fine tire texture, tread pattern and a faithful hub shape. The set is intended for F4U Corsair fighter models and covers the main wheels as well as the tail wheel.
The set brings wheels cast in resin, completed by small photo-etched parts and a mask for easy and clean painting of the tires and the hubs. The result is a more realistic look to the landing gear with sharply rendered detail that injection-molded plastic usually cannot reach.
First wash any remaining mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). For painting, use the mask supplied, which separates the hubs and the tires without laborious touching up. Fine highlighting of the tread pattern and a light dusting with pigments will complete the job.
This is an add-on detail set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
