A resin detail part, not an airplane kit. The resin exhausts replace the plastic parts from the basic kit of the American carrier fighter F6F Hellcat in the -3 and -5 versions in 1:72 scale. The castings have finely rendered stubs and often hollowed outlets as well, which on such a small feature raises the realism markedly.
The Grumman F6F Hellcat was an American single-seat carrier fighter of the Second World War with a Pratt & Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp radial engine. It became the main opponent of Japanese aviation in the Pacific and is credited with a large number of victories. The exhaust stubs on the sides of the fuselage are a prominent and often emphasized detail that is worth rendering as finely as possible.
