A resin detail part, not an airplane kit. This resin pilot headrest replaces the plastic part from the base kit of the American F6F Hellcat carrier fighter in 1:72 scale. The fine casting refines the look of the cockpit, which is clearly visible under the clear canopy.

The real subject and what the part is for

The Grumman F6F Hellcat was an American single-seat carrier fighter of the Second World War with a Pratt & Whitney R-2800 radial engine. Behind the pilot's head it carried an armored headrest, which is among the striking elements of the interior under the sliding canopy. A more accurate casting with a more faithful shape raises the impression of an open cockpit.

Usage tips

• Wash the parts free of mold release residue in lukewarm soapy water
• Cut off the casting block and clean up the surface with respiratory protection
• Glue with cyanoacrylate glue; cement for plastic will not hold on resin
• Set and align the part before closing up the fuselage and fitting the canopy
