Responsibility details are not available.
A set of die-cut self-adhesive painting masks from Eduard in 1:72 scale for a model of the F9F-2 Panther carrier-borne jet fighter. It is neither a kit nor a model: these are precisely cut masks of thin masking tape that stick to the canopy glazing and to the landing gear wheels. With them you can spray the canopy frames and the hub centers with a sharp edge, without the slow cutting and sticking of ordinary tape.
The Grumman F9F Panther was an American carrier-borne jet fighter with a straight wing. It served with the US Navy and the Marine Corps and made its mark in the Korean War, where it flew both fighter and fighter-bomber missions. It belonged to the first generation of successful carrier jets.
First spray the shade of the cockpit frames; once it is dry, lay the masks on the glazing and spray over them with the fuselage color. The wheel masks hold the center of the hub while the tires are sprayed. The thin tape follows the curve of the canopy and leaves a clean edge. For the best adhesion, degrease the surface before sticking the masks down, remove any dust and press them with a soft tool so that paint cannot creep under the edge.
This is a masking set. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
