This detail set from the Czech maker Quickboost (the Aires workshop) contains resin covers and doors for the wheel bays of a model of the Grumman F9F-2 Panther carrier fighter in 1:72 scale. The cast doors are thinner and have finer relief than the plastic parts from the kit, so they match the real thickness of the metal better. The set is a replacement part, not a standalone model.
Open wheel bays and their doors are among the best visible places on models in the landing configuration. Thin resin doors look more realistic than thicker plastic and improve the overall impression of the landing gear section.
Wash the parts to remove mold release and cut them off the casting block carefully; they are thin, so handle them gently. Bond with super glue. The inner faces of the doors are usually lighter than the outer surface; protect your airways while sanding resin.
The set contains only the resin doors. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
