A resin detail set, not an aircraft kit. This set in finely cast resin replaces the engine exhaust nozzles of the American Boeing F/A-18E/F Super Hornet carrier multirole fighter in 1:72 scale. The nozzles are rendered in the closed (drawn-in) position, which corresponds to a machine with the engines shut down or running at idle. The set is intended for more advanced modelers with resin experience.
The exhaust nozzles are very much on show at the tail of a model and their execution strongly affects the final impression. A resin casting faithfully captures the correct shape and the inner structure of the petals, which tend to be simplified in the plastic from the box. Choosing the closed position matches a parked aircraft, for example on a flight deck diorama.
