About product

DP Casper, Forgotten Operations: Operation Jericho (1944), 1:72

This set of waterslide decals (wet decals) is devoted to Operation Jericho, the precision raid by Allied aircraft on the prison at Amiens on February 18, 1944, whose aim was to let imprisoned members of the resistance escape. The sheets carry markings for machines connected with that action, among them de Havilland Mosquito fighter-bombers, escorting Hawker Typhoons and defending German Fw 190s. It is not a kit; it is a set of decals for a finished, painted model.

Use

  • the decal is cut out, dipped in lukewarm water and slid off the backing onto the right place on the model
  • it is applied over smooth gloss varnish, to prevent silvering under the film
  • a softener helps it settle into the detail; at the end the surface is unified with matte varnish

Who the set is for

  • followers of Second World War air arms and of less known combat operations
  • builders of Mosquitos, Typhoons and German fighters in 1:72 scale
  • collectors of decal schemes with a particular historical story

The set contains decals only. The model, the paints and the varnish are not included in the package.
