A plastic kit of the French 3.5 ton truck of the AHN series fitted with a wood gas generator, 1:72 scale, from ACE. The characteristic generator mounted on the vehicle is a period answer to the shortage of fuel. The model suits a display case as well as a diorama with supply vehicles.
Trucks of the AHN series belonged to French utility equipment and carried a payload of about 3.5 tons. In the period of petrol shortage a number of vehicles were fitted with gas generators, which gasified wood or charcoal and drove the engine with the gas obtained. Vehicles modified in this way were common in Europe during the war.
Cut the small parts away carefully and glue them with thin modeling cement for plastic. Finish the generator and the frame before painting. After spraying the primer, lay the base color on with an airbrush, pick out the wooden and sheet metal parts separately and bring the surface to life with a wash and pigments to suggest service wear.
