MASTER 1:72 Fw 190 A7, A8 - armament set and pitot tube

A set of precisely turned metal parts by the Polish manufacturer MASTER for a plastic model of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 fighter in the A7 and A8 versions in 1:72 scale. According to its name it contains metal barrel tips of the MG 131 machine guns and the MG 151 cannons and a pitot tube. It is neither a model nor a kit but a package of detail accessories replacing plastic parts.

The real subject

The A7 and A8 versions were among the most heavily armed and most numerous variants of the Fw 190, with heavy MG 131 machine guns above the engine. The Fw 190 was one of the most successful German fighters of the Second World War. Sharp metal muzzles raise the realism of the armament considerably.

Use

• Cut the original plastic parts off and clean the surfaces up.
• Predrill the mounting holes as needed.
• Glue the metal parts in with cyanoacrylate.
• The brass can be blackened for a faithful barrel look.
