A resin detail part, not an airplane kit. This finely cast resin set replaces the forward engine cowling ring of the German Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-8 fighter in 1:72 scale. The Fw 190 was among the most capable German fighters of the Second World War, and the A version was powered by a BMW 801 radial engine enclosed in a characteristically tight cowling. The part is intended for more experienced modelers who work with resin.
The forward cowling ring shapes the nose and its profile is immediately apparent when the model is seen from the front. The resin casting offers a faithful outline of the ring and fine surface detail, including the cooling air inlet, which the simplified plastic from the box usually lacks. Once seated and painted, the nose section gains a correct and clean shape.
