The set is intended to be carried under a modern combat aircraft that you are building from a plastic kit, and it replaces or supplements the armament from the box. It is made by the Czech company Eduard, long focused on resin accessories and photo-etched parts. The small size of the bombs in this scale means that a resin casting holds the edges of the control surfaces more crisply than injection-molded plastic.
The GBU-39 is an American small-diameter guided glide bomb from the precision-guided weapons category. Its main advantage is precisely its small diameter, thanks to which several can be carried on one station instead of a single conventional bomb, so increasing the number of weapons carried. The BRU-61 rack serves that purpose and carries four of these bombs on one station. The combination appears on modern tactical aircraft used from the beginning of this century.
First wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent because of the remains of the release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw and level the surfaces with abrasive paper; with parts this small it is better to cut dry over a tray so that a piece is not lost. Resin is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue), not with cement for plastic. A primer forms the base, because without it the paint holds poorly on a smooth casting. It is practical to paint and mark the assembly before installing it under the wing, as access to the underside of the aircraft is very limited later.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
