Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of an early version of the German Pz.Kpfw. IV medium tank in 1:72 scale from the Polish manufacturer Mirage Hobby. The package holds plastic frames, photo-etched parts for the fine detail, soft plastic tracks and a decal sheet. The boxing is tied to 1944 in Normandy, by which time these early vehicles were serving with rear area and training units. The set belongs to the range in which Mirage Hobby has worked up the early versions of this type in a small scale.
The Pz.Kpfw. IV Ausf. C is one of the pre-production and early versions of the German medium tank, which was originally conceived as a support vehicle. It carried a short 75 mm gun of low muzzle velocity, intended above all to fire high explosive shells against fortifications and targets in the open. The armor was thin against the later versions and the vehicle was lighter. The design with eight small road wheels per side and leaf springs stayed typical of the whole family until the end of production.
Assemble and paint the running gear before closing the hull up, as the individual wheels in this scale call for an accurate fit. Do not glue the soft tracks with ordinary cement for plastic; use cyanoacrylate glue and try them dry first. Bend the photo-etched parts over a metal ruler. Spray the base shade over a primer, use dry brushing on the edges, sink a dark wash into the recesses and the rivets and dust the underside of the hull with pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
