Hafthohlladung 1:72 is a small resin, 3D-printed detail set of the German magnetic antitank charge of the Second World War. It serves as a diorama accessory, not as a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from Firma49 faithfully reduces the German Hafthohlladung magnetic antitank charge to 1:72 scale. It is a resin accessory made by SLA 3D printing that completes military dioramas and display cases. It is not a vehicle model but a detail accessory.
The Hafthohlladung was a hand-placed shaped charge with a funnel-shaped body that a German infantryman attached directly to the armor of an enemy tank with three magnets. The shaped-charge jet could punch through even thick armor at the cost of an attack at point-blank range. Because of the threat of magnetic charges, the Germans coated their vehicles with Zimmerit antimagnetic paste.
In the small 1:72 scale the parts are very tiny, so work with tweezers and in good light. Wash the print resin residue off them, separate them carefully from the print supports and bond them with cyanoacrylate glue. Dipping them in hot water makes any work easier without crumbling. Apply a thin primer before painting.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
