Responsibility details are not available.
This resin set from the Quickboost brand of the manufacturer Aires brings faithfully cast air intakes for a model of the British four-engine bomber Handley Page Halifax B Mk.I/II in 1:72 scale. It is not an airplane model but a detail accessory for more experienced modelers that replaces solid or coarse plastic parts with a casting with a properly worked intake opening.
The Handley Page Halifax was a British four-engine heavy bomber of the Second World War period. Together with the Avro Lancaster it was one of the main machines of the RAF night bomber force. The air intakes under the engine nacelles supplied the powerplants and the radiators with air, and a faithful rendering of them helps the overall impression of a model.
The intakes repeat on all the engines, so check that they have the same depth and orientation. First wash the castings in lukewarm water with detergent to remove the remains of mold release agent from the mold. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw and sand the cut surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue the parts with cyanoacrylate, not with cement for plastic.
The set is supplied as a resin part, unassembled and unpainted. It is not an airplane model but an accessory for a plastic kit. Glue, paints and the kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
