The set is listed for the Airfix kit of the Hawker Hurricane Mk.I in 1:72 scale. In 1:72 scale the cockpit frames are so narrow that cutting tape by hand tends to be more of a lottery: one hesitation with the blade and the edge is crooked. Shapes prepared in advance shorten this step to sticking on and pressing down.
The designation in the name says that the templates cover one side of the glazing, namely the outer one. Anyone who wants the inside of the cockpit covered as well has to manage otherwise, usually with masking fluid or with a filling of a piece of paper wadding. It has no effect on the result from outside; it shows only in the view through the glazing into the cockpit.
The Hurricane was a British fighter from the beginning of the Second World War. Its fuselage was built on a tubular frame and covered with fabric at the rear, which was already a receding method of construction at the time, but an easily repaired one. It was powered by a Rolls-Royce Merlin V12 and the Mk.I version carried eight machine guns in the wings. In the Battle of Britain the Hurricane was numerically the strongest type in British fighter aviation.
The aircraft kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
