The 1:72 HMAS Canberra Rear Lift display base from Kelik shows the rear deck lift of this Australian landing ship.
Responsibility details are not available.
A display board with a color motif of the rear deck lift of the Australian ship HMAS Canberra with the designation LHD-02. It serves under a finished model in 1:72 scale and on its own it is neither a model nor a set of parts to be assembled.
HMAS Canberra is the largest vessel the Royal Australian Navy has ever operated. It combines a full-length flight deck with the ability to land troops and equipment, so helicopters and short-takeoff machines take turns on it. The rear lift is among the most interesting places on the deck: it is a bounded area with prominent stripes and lettering on which a machine looks as if it had just been brought up from the hangar.
Modelers interested in naval aviation and in the equipment of Pacific countries. It also works well where there is little room in a display case and building a large diorama is out of the question, because the motif tells the whole story of deck operations on its own. It is an interesting choice also for those who have only one helicopter at home and want to give it a dignified place without embarking on a scene built from card, sand and grass. The result is finished in a moment and still looks considered.
