This resin set brings a precisely cast engine cowling for models of the Polikarpov I-153 fighter in 1:72 scale. It is not an airplane model but a detail accessory that replaces the cowling of a kit and refines the shape of the cover of the radial engine as well as the suggested detail of its front face.
The Polikarpov I-153 Chaika was a Soviet single-seat biplane fighter with a characteristic gulled upper wing and retractable landing gear. It was powered by an air-cooled radial engine whose short, rounded cowling forms a prominent recognition feature of the front of the aircraft.
Wash the mold release agent off the part, separate it from the casting block and clean up the face that meets the fuselage. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Sand resin with respiratory protection. Use a primer before painting, which will even out the surface of the cowling and of the plastic that follows on from it.
This is an accessory for a model, not a stand-alone kit. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
