The resin set completes a built model of the light cross-country vehicle in service with the Israeli army. It is not a kit of the vehicle but the gear that is seated onto it.
The M151, known to soldiers by the nickname MUTT, replaced the classic jeeps in the American army. It has a unitary body with no separate frame and independent suspension on all four wheels, which gave it good cross-country qualities. The Israeli armed forces took it over on a large scale and used it for reconnaissance, for liaison and as a carrier for recoilless guns and anti-tank missiles. The vehicles served in Sinai, on the Golan and in southern Lebanon, and they tended to be covered with jerrycans, boxes and the personal belongings of the crew.
Small castings are easily lost, so separate them over a surface with a raised edge. Before gluing, make sure that no film of mold release agent is left on the contact area, otherwise the glue would not hold. A brush or an airbrush will both handle the painting; with such small volumes it works well to lay on thin coats and to create the shadows only with a dark enamel wash. Suggest the straps and bands with a thin strip of paper or foil. Light desert tones tend to be too rich in such a small scale, so it pays to lighten them slightly.
