Responsibility details are not available.
This is a resin kit for experienced modelers in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer ROP. The model is cast in resin and is meant to be assembled and painted; it captures the look of the real subject faithfully.
The diorama captures the battlefield of the island of Iwo Jima in 1945, where one of the hardest battles of the war in the Pacific took place in February and March. The Japanese defense rested on an extensive system of dug-in and concrete positions in the volcanic terrain of the island. The model renders a fortified position set into the characteristic landscape of the battlefield.
First wash the mold release residue off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks carefully and sand the surfaces down (protecting your breathing). It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). A primer is recommended; build the concrete surfaces up by misting light gray and sand tones, bring out the recesses with a wash and suggest dust or mud with pigments. Suggest the volcanic ash and dark sand with pigments; the contrast of concrete and terrain will add to the drama of the scene.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin kit. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
