A set of three-dimensional Kelik decals for a model of the Chinese fighter J-20 Mighty Dragon in 1:72 scale, prepared for the kit from Dream Model. The modern fifth generation cockpit with its large-area displays is an ideal subject for decal technology, as flat screens and overview panels stand out better than on classic panels full of dials.
The Chengdu J-20 is the first Chinese series-produced fighter designed with an emphasis on difficult radar detectability. It is characterized by canard surfaces ahead of the main wing, internal weapons bays and an elongated fuselage. It was introduced into the armament of the People's Liberation Army Air Force in 2017 and since then it has represented the flagship of that country's combat aviation as well as a frequent subject of modern modeling releases.
Let the display surfaces stretch perfectly on a flat base once settled, as any bubble would be distracting on a smooth screen. Support an interior tuned in dark tones with fine lightening of the edges with a brush only after the decals have dried. Before closing the cockpit, check the seating under side lighting. Photographs of the finished model are then suited by a dark background, against which the cockpit surfaces stand out.
