This resin detail set brings a new wing with control surfaces for a model of the Swedish Saab 35 Draken supersonic fighter in 1:72 scale. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory with which you replace the wing from a plastic kit with a more faithful casting with a fine surface texture and finer leading and trailing edges. It also makes it possible to render deflected control surfaces more convincingly.
The Saab 35 Draken was a Swedish supersonic interceptor with a characteristic double delta wing, which gave it excellent flying qualities and the ability to operate from short strips. The double delta combined high speed with good agility; control in pitch and roll was provided by elevons on the trailing edge of the wing. The Draken is one of the icons of the Cold War.
Wash the castings in lukewarm soapy water and rid them of mold release agent. Cut off the casting blocks with a saw and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate); first dry-fit the mating surfaces. A fine wash will bring out the engraved panels, and a final matte varnish will even out the surface before the decals.
The detail set is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin part. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
