A correction set for the fuel tank ventilation of a model of the JAS-39C/D Gripen aircraft in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Saab JAS-39 Gripen is a Swedish single-engine multirole aircraft with a delta wing and canard foreplanes ahead of it. The C and D designations distinguish the single-seat and two-seat forms of the same generation. The canard configuration and the slender fuselage make the Gripen a rewarding subject, on which every small shape on the surface is clearly visible.
A correction set in 1:72 scale focused on the fuel tank ventilation. Sets of this kind replace or complete a place the kit renders in a simplified way, so that the shape matches the real machine. How many parts the package contains and which kit it is cut for is given in the manufacturer's instructions; how much plastic has to be removed from the model follows from them as well.
The parts are not polystyrene, so ordinary cement for plastic models has no effect on them. They are bonded with cyanoacrylate glue, and on larger areas a two-part glue works well too. Cut excess material away with a sharp blade a little clear of the part and sand the rest back carefully so as not to cut into the shape. Wash and degrease the parts before painting, otherwise the paint holds badly. Try the fit dry first and only then glue; any further sanding of the bed in the model is easier while the part can still be lifted out freely.
An add-on set is supplied. The aircraft kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
