This resin Quickboost set in 1:72 scale brings precisely cast night exhausts with flame dampers for the Junkers Ju 188A. It is not an aircraft model, but an aftermarket detail part that replaces the plastic exhausts from the kit and faithfully captures the shrouds that suppress the flashes during night flights.
The Junkers Ju 188 was a German twin-engine bomber of the Second World War derived from the Ju 88. Machines deployed in darkness received flame dampers on the exhausts, which prevented the crew from being dazzled and the aircraft from being given away at night. Shaped resin exhausts with those shrouds and suggested hollow outlets are among the striking details at the front of the engines.
Before gluing, wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water because of the mold release agent from the mold. Separate them from the casting block with a saw or a cutter; do not snap them off. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Do the sanding and cutting with respiratory protection, as resin dust is harmful to health.
