This set from the aircraft aftermarket maker Aires/Quickboost is a resin replacement for the propeller of a model of the Junkers Ju 87B/R Stuka dive bomber in 1:72 scale. A jig is included, which makes it easier to set the blades into the hub at a uniform angle. It is not an airplane kit but a detail accessory that replaces the plastic propeller from the base kit with a more finely cast part with a truer blade profile.
The Junkers Ju 87 Stuka was a German dive bomber of the Second World War; the B and R versions were among its early variants. On a single-engine airframe the propeller on the nose is a prominent and clearly visible feature.
First wash the resin parts to remove any mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks carefully and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Use the jig supplied to set a uniform blade angle; we recommend painting the propeller separately and picking out the blade tips according to period references.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
