ACE Kamov Ka-25Ts Hormone-B (1:72) is a plastic kit of the Soviet shipborne helicopter in the version for guided missile targeting.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit from ACE captures the Soviet shipborne helicopter Kamov Ka-25 in the Ts version (NATO reporting name Hormone-B) in 1:72 scale. This version served as a remote targeting platform for guided missiles. It is a short-run kit with finely engraved surfaces and the characteristic coaxial twin-rotor layout without a tail rotor.
The Kamov Ka-25 was a Soviet shipborne helicopter with the typical Kamov concept - two coaxial contra-rotating rotors, which removed the need for a compensating tail rotor and allowed compact dimensions for operating from ships' decks. The Hormone-B version (Ka-25Ts) was fitted with a radar for guiding anti-ship missiles launched from surface vessels at long range.
With a short-run kit, count on cleaning off the flash and dry-fitting the parts. Paint the cockpit before closing up the fuselage. We recommend a primer, the main coat with an airbrush and a gloss coat under the decals. Leave the coaxial rotors movable until the model is finished, so that they are easy to paint.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
