An injection-molded plastic kit of the German King Tiger (Tiger II) heavy tank with the Henschel turret in 1:72 scale from Zvezda. The parts are designed as snap-fit, so the basic assembly can be managed even without glue, though we recommend securing the joints with a drop of plastic cement for strength. The model builds smoothly and is a rewarding base for painting and for tabletop games; its compact size will be appreciated by beginning modelers too.
The Tiger II, nicknamed King Tiger or Königstiger, was the heaviest series-produced German tank of the Second World War. It carried a long 88 mm gun and heavy frontal armor, thanks to which it could destroy its opponents at long range. The Henschel turret had a simpler and more resistant shape than the earlier variant, with no rounded front face.
Snap the parts together according to the instructions and reinforce the joints with glue if you wish. Paint the running gear before finishing the hull. Late German camouflages with stripes and blotches come into their own once the edges are brought out with a dry brush, a wash is applied in the recesses and dust and mud pigments are added to the lower areas and the tracks.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
