Photo-etched parts for a model of the L-29 Delfin jet trainer in 1:72 scale. An accessory to a finished kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Aero L-29 Delfin is a Czechoslovak jet trainer and the first jet aircraft designed and built in Czechoslovakia. At the beginning of the 1960s it became the basic trainer type of the air forces of the Warsaw Pact and whole generations of pilots were trained on it; abroad it became known by the reporting name Maya. Several thousand were built and it flew in dozens of countries, so it offers a varied range of finishes and a Czech modeler usually has a soft spot for it.
A set of photo-etched parts in 1:72 scale. In a small scale, photo-etch can do what plastic cannot: thin surfaces, fine grilles and small controls in a scale thickness. The exact extent of the parts, their placement on the model and the kit the set is prepared for are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The parts in this scale are really tiny, so work over a shallow box or a tray to keep a part that springs away from ending up in the carpet. Separate them by cutting through the tab with a sharp blade on a hard surface and pick them up with tweezers with fine jaws. Make the bends in an etch bender or against the edge of a ruler in a single movement. They are glued with a minute amount of cyanoacrylate; before that, wash and degrease the metal and give it a primer suitable for metal.
The aircraft kit, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
