This is not an airplane kit but a detail accessory — it replaces the wheels from the plastic box with more accurate castings carrying a sharper rendering of the tire tread, hubs and brakes. The tire and the hub are usually arranged so that they can be masked and painted separately. The set is meant for more advanced modelers who want a more faithful landing gear.
The L-29 Delfin is a Czechoslovak two-seat jet trainer that became the standard basic trainer of the Eastern Bloc air forces. It stood out for its simple, rugged construction and easy handling even for less experienced pilots. Operating from grass as well as hard-surfaced airfields put demands on the ruggedness of the landing gear.
Wash the parts to remove the mold release agent left from the mold, cut off the casting blocks and clean them up. Resin is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint the tires dark gray rather than deep black and dust them lightly; choose the hubs according to the particular aircraft. Protect your airways when sanding resin.
