A die-cut self-adhesive masking set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It is not a kit or a model but an accessory for modelers in 1:72 scale that makes masking the canopy glazing and the wheels more precise and quicker when spraying paint. The precisely shaped masks are of fine Japanese kabuki tape.
The masks are stuck onto the frames of the canopy and onto the wheel discs, so that after spraying the glass stays clear and the tires stay free of paint. Kabuki tape conforms to rounded shapes, holds tight and leaves no adhesive behind when peeled off. The result is sharp, straight lines on the canopy frames without laborious hand-cutting of tape.
The Avro Lancaster B Mk.III was a British four-engine heavy bomber, and in its Dambuster form it is a special modification connected with the famous raid on the German dams in 1943. The machines of No. 617 Squadron were modified to carry the special bouncing bomb and carried out the attack at low altitude at night. It is one of the best known episodes in the work of British bomber aviation.
The set contains only the cut-out masking parts. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
