Peewit 1:72 painting masks for the Lavochkin La-5, La-5F, La-5FN and La-5UTI are self-adhesive masks for the cockpit glazing covering several versions of the machine in 1:72 scale. This is an accessory for painting, not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of self-adhesive painting masks from Peewit for models of the Lavochkin La-5 fighter in 1:72 scale. The masks in kabuki (washi) tape cover the canopy frames and are worked out for the wider family of versions, including the single-seat La-5, La-5F and La-5FN and the two-seat La-5UTI trainer. After spraying you get crisp transitions between glass and frame. It is not a kit but an aid for painting.
The Lavochkin La-5 was a Soviet single-seat fighter of the Second World War with a mixed wood and metal structure and a Shvetsov radial engine. The successive versions (F, FN) brought higher engine power, and the two-seat La-5UTI trainer served for pilot training. The type was among the most widespread Soviet fighters of the middle phase of the war.
Degrease the glazing, stick the mask on and press the edges down so that paint does not creep. Spray thinly, first with the interior color of the frames and then with the top shade. On the two-seat version count on longer glazing, and peel the mask off while the paint is still fresh.
Paints, glue and the model are not included in the package. This is a painting aid for masking the glazing.
