Responsibility details are not available.
The accessory represents a weapon of the Lewis type in the Belgian version, worked for models in 1:72 scale. It is bought for a build already in progress; the aircraft itself is not included. A pair is given in the name of the item.
Armament is precisely the weakest place in one-seventy-second kits. Molds cannot capture thin outlines and the result is a coarse post that catches the attention at once on a finished model. A replacement by a separately produced part therefore ranks among the interventions with the best ratio of work spent to visible effect. A few minutes are enough and the build looks a class better; a similar effect tends to come only from changing a propeller or an instrument panel.
Work with a sharp knife and a new blade, take hold of the part by a section that will not be visible, and let the surface dry thoroughly after cleaning. Apply the color in thin coats, so that the fine shapes are not clogged. Try the seating dry beforehand and rather rework the recess on the model in advance than finish it with the part in tweezers. Fit the finished part only at the very end of the build, when handling no longer risks breaking it off.
