The M113 is one of the most widespread tracked vehicles of the second half of the twentieth century. Behind its success lie a simple concept and a welded hull of aluminum alloy, thanks to which the vehicle is light, air-transportable and able to cross water obstacles. The A2 modernization step brought reworked cooling, revised running gear suspension and the fuel tanks moved from inside the hull out to the rear, and it is those that are the surest external distinguishing mark.
