The Macchi M.C.72 was an Italian racing floatplane of the early 1930s, designed for the contest for the Schneider Trophy and for an attempt at absolute speed records. It was powered by a potent coupled engine driving two contra-rotating propellers, and the machine became the holder of the world speed record for piston-engined floatplanes, which stood for many years. Its aerodynamically honed fuselage and floats are among the icons of interwar air racing.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces lightly with your airways protected. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The characteristic red scheme comes out better over a primer and in thin coats; a gloss surface and a clear coat under the decals will heighten the racing look. Take care to align the floats and their struts exactly.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
