The fourth part of the decal range with the markings of the two-seat Il-2 ground-attack aircraft in 1:72 scale. Like the other parts, it is a standalone sheet that completes a model already built and painted. The kit, plastic parts and paints are not part of the package.
The Il-2 was among the most numerously built aircraft of its day. Characteristic features are the armored forward fuselage, the massive radiator fairing under the engine and the cranked wing. The two-seat version with room for a gunner at the back is told from the single-seater by the lengthened cockpit and the different shape of the rear part of the canopy.
Apply gloss varnish to the painted model and let it cure. Soak the decal in lukewarm water, slide it into place with a brush once it has released and draw the water off with a paper towel. A softener will help settle the design across engraved lines and surface irregularities. Once dry, the final matte varnish comes, which unifies the sheen of the whole model.
The package contains decals; it is not a kit. The model, paints, varnishes and glue are not part of it.
