The highest grade of the New Ware mask set for the reconnaissance version of the Voodoo in 1:72 scale. The package consists of a self-adhesive film with pre-cut shapes, cut for a particular kit. Of the three grades offered, EXPERT has the greatest extent of coverage.
The most common fault has nothing to do with the mask; it arises during spraying. Lay the paint on in thin coats and leave a short pause between them. A heavy coat builds up at the edge of the film and leaves a step you can feel once it is removed, one that shows under a matte varnish. Hold the nozzle square above the edge and work it away from the mask. The same goes for the primer, and it is the primer that most often creates the step, because it is sprayed thicker.
Leave any unused parts on the backing sheet and store the sheet flat in an envelope, away from direct light and heat. The adhesive hardens over time and the film becomes brittle in heat; after a year in a warm place the small shapes may no longer adhere reliably. Never bend the sheet, as a creased film cannot be smoothed out on a model. If you put a slip with a note of which model the set is cut for in with the sheet, you will save yourself guessing years later where the remaining parts belonged.
The package holds only the masking film. Paints, glue and a kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
