An injection-molded plastic kit from the Japanese manufacturer Hasegawa in 1:72 scale. The subject is the two-seat F-15E Strike Eagle strike aircraft, intended for deep strikes as well as for air combat. The model offers a well-worked surface with finely engraved panel lines, a cockpit for a crew of two and a decal sheet with markings. External stores and tanks are usually included too.
The F-15E Strike Eagle is derived from the air superiority F-15, but it is arranged for a dual role, that is precise ground strikes at long range as well as air combat in self-defense. It carries a crew of two, the pilot and the weapon systems officer in the rear, powerful radars and a wide range of external stores. Thanks to its long range and its load-carrying ability it became one of the key strike aircraft of the US Air Force and of a number of other users.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic, and paint the cockpit and fit it before closing up the fuselage. We recommend a primer, matte dark gray camouflage shades applied with an airbrush and a fine accentuation of the panels with the wash technique. Apply the decals over a gloss base so that no silvered edges appear. Assemble and paint the external stores separately and fit them at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
