A set of photo-etched parts for a model of the Me 262A Schwalbe fighter in 1:72 scale. It fills in the engraving where injection-molded plastic in a small scale is necessarily coarser.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Messerschmitt Me 262 was the first jet fighter built in series. The single-seat combat version Me 262A carried the nickname Schwalbe, meaning swallow, and its recognition marks became the swept wing and the pair of engine nacelles beneath it. It entered combat in the final phase of the Second World War, and on modelers' shelves it is still among the most popular machines of that time.
Photo-etched parts in 1:72 scale for this type. In a small scale photo-etch is especially useful: a plastic part always has some thickness, whereas etched metal is as thin as paper, so the instrument panel, the harness belts or small sheet items finally look the way they should. The extent of the set and the position of the individual parts are described in the manufacturer's instructions.
The parts are small, so get a hard cutting surface, a sharp blade and tweezers with fine jaws ready. Separate them by cutting, not by twisting, and work over a light-colored surface, where you will find a part that springs away. Dose the glue on the tip of a toothpick onto the plastic part, not onto the photo-etch; in 1:72 scale a truly tiny drop is enough. Make the bends on a straight edge in one movement; bending again and again tires the metal and it snaps. Before painting, wash and degrease the metal, otherwise the paint will not hold on it. Assemble the inside of the cockpit and try it dry while the fuselage halves are still apart.
The package holds photo-etched parts. The model, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
