Eduard 1:72 Me 262B-1 is a set of self-adhesive die-cut masks for the canopy glazing and the wheels of the two-seat version of the Me 262 jet aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of precisely die-cut self-adhesive masks from the Czech manufacturer Eduard, intended for models of the two-seat version of the Me 262 jet aircraft in 1:72 scale. It is not a kit and not a photo-etched set: these are masking templates of yellow film that are stuck onto the canopy glazing and onto the tires and that protect the areas meant to stay clear, or dark, during spraying. The masks follow the shape of the canopy framing, so laborious cutting of strips and measuring falls away.
Peel the film off the backing with tweezers and lay it on the appropriate part. The edge masks are stuck onto the frames of the glazing, while larger central areas are filled in with the rest of the film or with masking tape. Finish pressing them down with the blunt tip of a toothpick or a soft tool, so that the mask sits down everywhere and the paint does not seep under the edge. Paint in thin coats, as a heavy application raises the risk of a step forming when the mask is removed. Take the mask off while the paint has only just dried, not after several days. On the tires the mask covers the tread, so you spray the rim without going round it by hand.
The set contains only masks. The aircraft model, paints and glue are not included in the package. The masks are intended for models in 1:72 scale.
