MiG-15 / MiG-15bis stencils 1:72 - decal set (Eduard)

A set of waterslide decals with technical lettering - service inscriptions and maintenance markings (so-called stencils) - for models of the MiG-15 and MiG-15bis jet fighter in 1:72 scale. The set gives the model a realistic density of small inscriptions, which the box of an ordinary kit often does not provide in full.

The real subject

The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-15 was a Soviet swept-wing jet fighter of the late 1940s, one of the most widespread of its kind. The MiG-15bis version brought a more powerful engine and further changes. The machine became famous in the Korean War and served in many countries for decades as both a fighter and a trainer.

Use

• Apply the stencils onto a smooth gloss coat so that the small inscriptions do not silver.
• Soak the small pieces briefly and slide them carefully off the backing onto the exact spot.
• Because of the large number of tiny decals, set aside enough time and work with tweezers.
• Settle the lettering into the panels with a softener and, once dry, seal it with a clear coat.
