This is not an airplane kit, but a resin correction set: a faithful exhaust nozzle and rear section of the engine for MiG-21MF models in 1:72 scale. The set takes account of the differences in the nozzle on machines from the production of the plant at Gorky, which differed from the Moscow output, and it corrects a shape that plastic out of the box often does not capture precisely.
The MiG-21MF was one of the most widespread versions of the Soviet supersonic MiG-21 fighter. It was powered by a turbojet with an afterburner and production ran at several plants, between which there were small but, for a modeler, recognizable differences, including the design of the exhaust nozzle.
Wash the resin parts free of mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks and smooth the surfaces. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and protect your airways when sanding. Paint the nozzle in metallic and heat-stained shades (burnt metal) and emphasize the flaps.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The aircraft model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
