A resin correction part from Armycast with which you replace the rear section with the exhaust nozzle on a model of the MiG-21MF fighter. The set is marked for machines from the Moscow production. It is not an airplane kit, but a simple accessory whose fitting visibly refines the silhouette of the rear of the model and at the same time removes the unsightly joint on the axis of the fuselage.
The MiG-21MF was among the most widespread versions of the whole family and was built at several plants. Machines from different production lines differed in small ways, and one of the recognition features was precisely the design of the rear section with the exhaust nozzle. For a modeler building a particular aircraft from a photograph it is a detail that cannot be mistaken: the shape of the nozzle gives away the origin of the machine more reliably than most other external features. Armycast therefore offers a version for each of the two main production lines separately.
Before you glue the part on, check the diameter against the fuselage of the kit with a dry fit and even out any difference by sanding from the inside. Paint the inside of the nozzle before you close it up — once it is glued you will not reach in there with a brush. Metal surfaces look best over a thin coat of a smooth base; only then apply the metallic shade and complete it with a dark wash and a fine pigment according to the degree of wear you want to show.
This is a correction accessory, not a complete model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
