This is NOT an airplane model but a small resin accessory for more experienced modelers. The set contains a precisely cast rear exhaust nozzle of the jet engine, which in both its shape and its internal structure replaces the less faithful plastic part in the base kit. It is intended for MiG-21MF models in the fighter-bomber version in 1:72 scale.
The MiG-21 was one of the most widespread supersonic fighters of the Cold War. The MiG-21MF version was among the most numerous, and in the fighter-bomber role it carried both bombs and rockets. The characteristic exhaust nozzle of the engine is a prominently visible feature, where the accuracy of a casting shows immediately.
First wash the part to remove the residue of the mold release agent, carefully cut off the casting block and sand the surface (respiratory protection is recommended). It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The inside of the nozzle comes into its own once painted in metallic and sooty shades and gently picked out.
This is an accessory, not a standalone model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
