A resin detail accessory of the Quickboost brand, made by Aires, in 1:72 scale. This is not an aircraft model but a pair of horizontal tail surfaces, the stabilizers, with a faithful shape and profile for the MiG-21MF, bis and SMT versions. The castings put the shape right compared with the base kit.
The MiG-21 was a Soviet single-engine supersonic fighter with a delta wing, built in many versions and used by a number of countries. The late MF, bis and SMT versions were among the more capable variants. The moving horizontal tail surfaces provided control in pitch.
Wash the mold release residue off the parts, carefully separate the casting blocks and bond them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Check the seating angle relative to the fuselage before gluing.
The accessory is supplied as resin parts. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
