This add-on set brings a 3D-printed, colored interior on decal paper for a model in 1:72 scale. It is not a kit but a set of elements that are applied to the cockpit parts. The name states that the panels are in an emerald shade, that is the rich green typical of the cockpits of older Soviet machines. The same set is also made in a gray version, so you can choose according to the aircraft you are building. The decals are shaped for the parts of the Eduard kit.
The MiG-21PFM was one of the most widespread members of the family of Soviet supersonic fighters with a delta wing and a circular air intake with a movable shock cone. Compared with the older versions it received a modified canopy with a fixed windscreen and a part hinging to the side, and a new ejection seat. For armament it relied on guided missiles, which could be supplemented with an external gun pod. It flew with dozens of air forces including European countries and became a symbol of the Cold War era.
Clean and degrease the cockpit parts; the surface has to be smooth and dry. Carry the elements over with tweezers and set them according to the enclosed instructions, so that they sit on the shape of the panel. On a broken-up surface gentle pressure with a cotton swab helps. The green interior shows best under a matte clear, which evens out the sheen of the whole cockpit. Try the assembly dry beforehand, because once the fuselage is closed the cockpit can no longer be adjusted.
