The decal set 1:35 Lebanese tanks and armored vehicles, part eight from Star Decals is aimed at registration numbers and number plates.
Responsibility details are not available.
The eighth part of the Lebanese Star Decals line in 1:35 scale differs from the previous sets in its theme. Instead of unit insignia it brings registration numbers and number plates, that is the small details that are easily overlooked on a model but without which a vehicle never looks quite finished.
Registration markings tell the individual machines within one unit apart and tend to be placed on the hull, on the fenders or on a separate plate fixed to the front and the rear of the vehicle. For a modeler it is a detail that gives a build its particularity: two otherwise identical tanks become two different vehicles at once. On hardware deployed in a long-running conflict the registration is often the only properly legible lettering on an otherwise dusty machine.
Tiny numerals are the most sensitive to alignment. Before you seat a decal for good, let it float on the wet base for a moment and line it up against the edge of the fender or the bottom line of the plate, ideally with the model at eye level. On the flat areas of number plates a minimum of softener will do, otherwise the tiny lettering risks wrinkling. Once it has dried, flatten the model down and lay the dust on so that the numbers stay partly legible. Read the manufacturer's instructions on handling the decals before you start work.
The package holds decals. The model, the paints and the varnishes are not included, unless stated otherwise.
