MiG-29 9-13 - 3D interior panels 1:72 (Quinta Studio)

A set of raised 3D decals for bringing out the cockpit of the MiG-29 fighter in the 9-13 version in 1:72 scale. It differs fundamentally from a classic decal sheet: it is not a thin printed film but features with real relief, printed on a decal backing paper. The instruments, buttons, placards and side consoles have genuine height, so once transferred they cast a shadow and look like modeled detail. Compared with a photo-etched set there is also no painting to do - the features are finished in color.

Use

• Cut the feature out of the sheet with a sharp knife, soak it for about fifteen seconds in lukewarm water and then slide it off the backing paper into place.
• First degrease the plastic part under the decal and go over it with a gloss varnish; any surplus engraved detail on the instrument panel is better sanded flat, so that the feature seats over its whole area.
• The features have no adhesive layer of their own - they hold on the gloss varnish (Future/Klear, Tamiya X-22), and on intricate surfaces a drop of cyanoacrylate glue will help.
• Adjust the position with a damp brush and blot the surplus water away, so that no air is left under the feature.
• Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, as the chemicals attack the printed resin. The instrument glasses can be brought out with a drop of gloss varnish, while the rest of the cockpit is taken down to matte.

For modelers who build the MiG-29 in 1:72 scale and want a cockpit at the level of the larger scales without laboriously painting microscopic instruments. The set is developed for a particular kit of this type, so check before buying that it matches your model.

This is an add-on 3D decal set, not a kit. The base model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
